Louann Sandiford

2005 Employee of the Year 

Louann joined Tatil in 1979 as a Clerk Typist in the Customer Service Department and has served loyally for the past 27 years in various capacities and many departments and was nominated Employee of the Month on two prior occasions in 1989 and 1994.

Her excellence in execution of her duties surpassed all standards, performing credibly throughout the year rising above and beyond expectations in light of significant challenges posed by the untimely consecutive deaths of two branch managers at the Quenca Street Branch.  She managed the regional staff to ensure a high level of service to clients and was able to work with, counsel and support the Life Agents in many challenges presented during this difficult time.  She also provided exceptional support to branch operations and to the Royal Road Branch Manager with excellent service delivery.

Louann has skillfully managed the many challenges presented this year.  She continues to demonstrate a high level of maturity in administration of all aspects of the branches.  This includes not only the business aspects of managing service levels to clients, agents and brokers, but also effectively managing the maintenance of the Branch physical infrastructure.

While Louann's core strength is in General Insurance, she has shown tremendous growth in administration of the life services at the branches through effective management of the Customer Service Representatives.  Through formal training on the Life Office Management Associate programme and working closely with the South Branch Managers, Louann was able to add value supporting the growth in Life business to the two branches in her region.
